JOB REQUIREMENTS
Age: 18 years old
Height: At least 1m57 (this will be checked at the medical examination)
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Fluent French and/or Dutch, both spoken and written (basic knowledge of the third language is required)
Be able to swim 50 metres without physical problems
Holding or being able to obtain a EU passport
You possess at least a high school degree
Undergo an alcohol and drug test + go to a medical examination (will be arranged by TUI fly)
Able to obtain a full and valid Airside ID to work as a Cabin Crew (background check by Brussels Airport Company)

1. Applying online
2. Online testing: Situational Judgement Test and English language tests (oral and written).
3. Once you’ve completed the test, you get your result immediately. If you fail the test, then the application process stops for you. If you pass the test, you move on to the next test. This right down to being able to schedule your virtual interview.
4. Assessment day: interview + group discussion face-to-face
5. If the result is positive, we will give you an appointment for an alcohol and drug test. Your medical examination will also be scheduled at that time
6. Start-up training
We have several start-up options. There are currently trainings programmed between August 2024 and October 2024, so even if you have to give notice at your current job, feel free to apply. You will be given the exact possible dates at the end of your application process.
The job offer for students will be published later and information on this will follow.
You will first have an intensive six-week theoretical course on, among other things, on-board safety, service, evacuation exercises… and during the following days, your training flights will be scheduled. So, in total, expect a training period of about 8 weeks.
For students, it will be mostly trainings during the weekends and school holidays.
Yes, you will receive a salary from the start of your training, this is similar to your basic gross salary. From the moment you start flying, several supplements and legal benefits are added.
If you are flying as a job student, you will receive a salary as from the first day you start flying. The amount of your gross salary, supplements and benefits remain the same.
Yes, but we do ask that you are motivated and committed to improve the other national language. We do expect you to have a basic knowledge of the country’s other language so you can have a basic conversation, answer a simple question or assess and explain any risk on board.
English is the working language in aviation and all classes and exams will also be taught and conducted in English. Your level of English (written and spoken) will therefore be assessed during your online tests.
If you do not yet have a EU passport, but you can easily apply for on, then you definitely qualify. The application for a EU passport takes about two weeks for Belgian citizens. Ask for more information from your municipality.
If you do already hold an EU passport, please check that it is still valid. Your passport must be valid at all times for at least another six months.
Most people go on holiday during the summer period, which is why we initially offer a seasonal contract. Depending on your regular evaluations, we are happy to offer one or more extensions, and this may also result in a permanent contract. On the other hand, there are a lot of opportunities for working in other parts of TUI. Whether at headquarters, abroad or in our various Travel Shops.
Students will fly during the summer period (July-August and/or September).
The salary of a Cabin Crew contains several elements. There is the gross basic salary, on top of that you receive various supplements (e.g. per diems, a crew commission on the on-board sales turnover, commuting compensation, …) and many more TUI benefits.
