Virtual Interviews and GDPR

At interview stage, it is important for us to meet you face to face. To save you time and the expense of attending an onsite interview, we now use video conference technology to meet you face to face virtually. This means that we require you to have your camera on when you attend. The meetings are not recorded but we will take notes (online or paper). Representatives from the TUI Talent Acquisition team will conduct the virtual event.

You may also meet other candidates during a Welcome session or at a group exercise and we ask you to respect the confidentiality of other candidates during the virtual event and not share any details with others afterwards, nor record/photograph anything you see.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Reference to our data protection declaration is made at the time of application on our applicant portal, this can be viewed by signing into your TUI Profile, in the Search Options & Privacy section. We have partnered with SOVA Assessment Ltd to deliver virtual interviews and their DPN can be accessed here.

We process and store the personal data received on the basis of your consent with the legal basis Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR. There is no profiling or storage of the calls.

We store the personal data that we process on the basis of the statutory retention periods. After that period, your data will be deleted or anonymized. Furthermore, the interview process contains technical and organizational measures based on our IT security standards. For the right to information and your rights as a data subject, you can contact your recruiter or our data protection department at any time, by email to Datenschutz@tui.com.
