3. FAQ
3.1 General
It is important that you are in possession of an EASA license, EU passport and a work permit for the Netherlands or Belgium.
We will not apply for a work permit on your behalf. Note that the process of obtaining a work permit can take several months.
If you do not meet these requirements, we unfortunately cannot consider your application.
It is important that you can operate out of our main base Schiphol (for TUI fly Netherlands) and Brussels (for TUI fly Belgium). Housing will not be foreseen.
We do not offer a commuting contract at TUI fly and note that we have a variable roster.
Your place of residence is not restricted. However, please note that during standby duty for TUI fly Netherlands, you must be able to reach Schiphol Airport within 60 minutes if called.
For TUI fly Belgium, you must be able to reach Brussels Airport within 120 minutes if called.
No; you need to be fluent in English (ELP 5 minimum). Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
The training courses are scheduled to begin at various dates spanning from July 2025 to December 2025, with the first type-rating course starting in early June 2025.
If these start dates do not align with your notice periods or other commitments, you can still complete the selection process. We will place you on a waiting list for the next available training courses. Please note that the training dates for 2026 have not yet been determined, so we cannot provide information on those at this time.
No; especially for our B737 position, your roster will vary significantly with no fixed pattern.
TUI fly will not cover the transportation- and accommodation expenses you will make during the selection process.
You can apply twice for the NTR position at TUI fly. If this was your first time, you can re-apply after a waiting period of one year.

3.2 NTR B737 position – TUI FLY BELGIUM
While we operate out of five bases in Belgium, your primary base will be Brussels. If you need to fly from any of the other bases, we will arrange a taxi for you from our headquarters in Zaventem.
80% contract:
1.Stable monthly 80% salary
2. Until 31/10/2026, you will fly 100% to fully build on your flying experience, during this period you will also receive a 100% salary
TUI fly Belgium will cover the cost of the type rating. You will be required to sign a bond for three years.
If you decide to leave TUI fly within the first three years, you will need to repay the training cost on a pro-rata basis.
However, if TUI fly terminates your contract within those three years, you will not be responsible for any remaining training costs.
3.3 NTR B737 position – TUI FLY NETHERLANDS
Your main base will be Schiphol.
You will receive a temporary 100% contract for two years.
TUI fly Netherlands will cover the cost of your type rating, and you will be required to sign a four-year bond. If you decide to leave TUI fly within these four years, you will need to repay the training costs on a pro-rata basis. However, if TUI fly terminates your contract within those four years, you will not be responsible for any remaining training costs.
The requirement to sign a four-year bond alongside a temporary contract indicates our intention to extend the temporary contract to a permanent one.
